A visual love letter to a community like no other.

A circular encaustic panel holds an abundance of symbols and metaphors — a vintage clockface, two antique keys, and two white swan feathers rising skyward — a nod to the swans of the Avon River, symbols of grace, elegance and beauty. Real roots descend from its base, anchoring it to the earth. At its heart — hand-hammered copper embedded with screws, worked by the artist herself — a tribute to Stratford's industrial history, its railway heritage, its furniture making roots.

Roots and romance intermingle. Time opens rather than passes.

Stratford is a rich, multilayered tapestry — woven with heritage, nature and culture, filled with gems that glisten individually and collectively. This piece was created with endless love and gratitude for the opportunity to experience life here.
