A circular encaustic panel holds an abundance of symbols and metaphors — a vintage clockface, two antique keys, and two white swan feathers rising skyward — a nod to the swans of the Avon River, symbols of grace, elegance, and beauty. Real roots descend from its base, anchoring it to the earth. At its heart — hand-hammered copper embedded with screws, worked by the artist herself — a tribute to Stratford's industrial history, its railway heritage, its furniture-making roots.
