Three women. One belonging.

Earth-textured, gold-threaded, rooted in the same ancient ground — three women stand together in a luminous landscape, each winged, each sovereign, each part of something larger than herself. Spiral energy moves through the earth beneath their feet. A sacred orb holds the ancient symbols of time and growth in the sky above.

What binds them is unspoken. What they share runs deeper than words.

When I was creating this work I was feeling the ancestral lineage of all women — rooted in the divine feminine, connected through the soil of the same earth. The wings were inspired by a piece of ocean flora found on a beach walk. The second I discovered it, I saw wings — and chased it down the windy shore until it was in my grasp. We can all fly when we listen to that deep inner intuitive knowing.

Many who encounter this work associate it with female family members, generations of women, sisters and sisters of choice. An abundance of texture, rich colour and symbolic imagery awaits discovery.

This work is deeply symbolic and intentionally open — every viewer brings their own interpretation, their own life experience, their own meaning to what they see. That is part of the gift.
