An abundance of texture, rich colour and symbolic imagery is manifested in this work. Many associate it with female family members, generations of women, sisters and sisters of choice. When I was creating it, I was feeling the ancestral lineage of all women rooted in the divine feminine. I thought of how we are all connected, rooted in the soil of the same earth. The wings were inspired by a piece of ocean flora found on a beach walk. The second I discovered it, I saw wings and chased it down the windy shore until it was in my grasp. We can all fly when we listen to that deep, inner intuitive knowing.
