Emergence – Art Bookmark

What rises in the pause.

A burst of brilliant yellow blazes across the surface — light breaking through like sunshine across a page newly understood. Whispers of blue ripple beneath, the way a single line read carefully can melt into thought. At the centre, a vintage key turns: the moment a fresh perspective opens. A music note rests within the colour: a tribute to every art form that nourishes the mind. Reproduced from a small slice of my original encaustic and mixed media painting Emergence — first exhibited as a grant-supported installation throughout Stratford with accompanying music and poetry — this bookmark marks the threshold where reading becomes emergence: new wisdom rises in the pause, and with it, gratitude — for every wordsmith whose words earned the pause.

Printed on premium cardstock (2" × 7"). The complementary-coloured back features the artwork title. Each bookmark is finished with a coordinating tassel (colour may vary based on availability) and individually packaged in a sealed cello sleeve. Fits perfectly in a business-size envelope for easy gifting.
